Judge clears way for release of Ambassador Bridge safety report

“A federal judge Tuesday refused to block the release of a 2007 inspection report on the Ambassador Bridge,” according to a story in the the Detroit News.

“The Federal Highway Administration released the report to U.S. Rep. John Dingell, D-Dearborn, under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act, on Sept. 28.

“Three days earlier, the Detroit International Bridge Co., which owns the bridge between Detroit and Windsor, filed a federal lawsuit in Detroit seeking to block the release of the report, which Dingell so far has voluntarily not disseminated while the bridge’s request for a court injunction was pending.”
