Retired Tax Tribunal judge joins Kitch; Straker honors three

This week, it was announced that Stuart Trager, who recently retired as a judge with the Michigan Tax Tribunal, has joined Kitch Drutchas Wagner Valitutti & Sherbrook in an of counsel capacity.

Trager was formerly supervisor of the Tax and Revenue Collection section of the city of Detroit’s law department. At Kitch, he will be handling property tax appeals, zoning, land use, and all manner of complex local governmental related litigation and regulation.

Also, the D. Augustus Straker Bar Association has named its three honorees for its upcoming 19th Trailblazers Dinner: Vernon Baker, general counsel at Meritor Inc. (and one of Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s 2008 “In-House Leaders in the Law”); Reuben Munday of Lewis & Munday PC; and ADR specialist Antoinette Raheem.

Straker Bar’s mission is to increase minority representation in the legal profession, support and encourage legal practice opportunities for minorities and women, and facilitate equal justice for underserved members of the Oakland County community.

The Trailblazers Dinner is June 21 at The Westin Southfield. Learn more at (248) 4970-7557 and trailblazers@strakerlaw.org.
