Amid rising criminal caseloads, judges demonstrate efficiency

“A sharp increase in serious crimes, with little or no additional money to throw at the problem, has area jurists using their best judgment to bring order to their courts,” according to an editorial in the Saginaw News.

“Their foresight is translating into efficiency.

“In Saginaw County, for example, the five circuit judges may meet each week with a docket of as many as 17 cases scheduled for trial.”
