Enbridge Energy Partners, the company that spilled oil in the Kalamazoo River in July, announced that it will buy some 200 houses near the site of the spill, in order to conduct a thorough cleanup.
The offer is good for a year, according to a company spokesman. The full story is in the Detroit Free Press.
Homeowners in the affected area were evacuated after the spill because high levels of the toxic chemical Benzene were detected.
